I stayed at Twin Lake Village for a week with friends. The place has an old-timey feel to it, and many of the guests are people who have been going there for years and even decades. Many of the lodgings are cottages, though we stayed in the annex, which is a kind of like a better version of a college; three bedrooms (each with a bathroom) with a shared common room that includes furniture, cabinet space and a mini-fridge. There are enough beds for six people, though I would recommend four people at most (six people might feel cramped in the annex). You get three meals daily in the dining hall, all-inclusive, and the food and service was very good (breakfast is generally the same each day, while the lunch and dinner menus change daily). There is a golf course (9 holes, I believe) and a lake that is great for swimming. You can take out canoes and kayaks from the dock. There are plenty of other amenities here and activities that are offered daily. More than anything, this was a quiet and relaxing place to stay, and I hope to return for future stays. A couple other things to know in advance. This is a place to go if you want to get away from civilization. No TV's in the lodgings, and you can only get very limited wi-fi in the office. Also, be sure to set aside money for tips; you can include it as part of your payment at check-out. They post recommended amounts for the various staff members.

I've been coming to TLV my whole life (and my mom has been coming since she was 7). It is a family resort where you end up getting to know everyone by name. It makes you feel like you've traveled back in time (in a good way). You can have to most relaxing week of your life, or a more involved week with the free golf, tennis, lake/beach acces, canoeing, shuffleboard, etc. It's all up to you. Your whole family can do their "own thing" and yet all get back together for the 3 served meals included. New London is a cute town with little shops, grocery store, a local pub and a local playhouse that shows different musicals every week. Highly recommend.

There are few places left in the world like TLV. My great-grandmother came here in the 40s and 50s, and my parents took us here in the 70s. When my kids were born, we began vacationing again at TLV in the 2000s. Not much has changed, thankfully, except for the addition of WiFi in the hotel common areas and hummus on the relish tray. Being here is like vacationing at a National Trust property. The Kidder family are very welcoming and can tell you all about the myriad off-site activities such as hiking and cultural events in New London, Sunapee and Hanover. There's plenty to do onsite, as well. I don't golf or play tennis, but I still have a great time at TLV. The food is simple, but delicious and ample. The homemade breads are divine. And how many other places serve Maypo for breakfast? TLV's maple syrup is not only real, but it's made on the property. You can buy some to take home. Every week, they have a picnic dinner on Mt. Kearsarge, which is not to be missed. The views are spectacular, and there's even a playground for the kids. If you are addicted to luxury, then this may not be your kind of place. But if you appreciate and adore the simple beauty of old New England, then TLV is for you.

I've been coming to TLV for over 50 years and it's still the same place with golf, tennis, the lake (Little Lake Sunapee) & three meals a day plus a Tuesday night picnic on Mt. Kersarge. TLV is a main lodge with outlying cabins and hotel rooms including daily maid service. The Kidder family has run this very special place since its inception and now the 4th & 5th generation are operating it. It is an incredible bargain and amazing destination about an hour north of the Manchester, NH airport.

I have been going to Twin Lake Village for more than 50 years and there is no place like it. It is like going back to summer camp where I went for 8 summers in nearby Andover, New Hampshire. Twin Lake has a 9 hole golf course, 3 har-tru tennis courts, a boat house where you can canoe, fish or rent a sail fish. It offers three meals a day. It also has a bingo night and a dance night for children. A highlight is the Tuesday night picnic at the halfway house on nearby Mt. Kearsarge. It is on the outskirts of New London, New Hampshire, a charming college town, (Colby Sawyer College,) with a very old summer stock theater in an old barn, called The Barn Playhouse. There are several nifty restaurants, some even gourmet, and several clothing stores as well. The prices at Twin Lake defy the imagination as they are very reasonable. Twin Lake's season is from the last week in June to the 3rd week in August. It is a truly wonderful operation that has delicious food and daily maid service. Do check it out!

If you are looking for a great place to take your family or friends and meet new people, hence the reason some have been coming back for years. Twin Lake Villa is the place to go; especially if you're looking for that trip to get away from it all. There are several places to hike in the area. The lakes nearby are very clean and swimming areas are clearly marked off for any boat traffic that might be on any particular lake. The best value of Twin Lake Village is the price. The weekly rates are very manageable and meals are included. The menu often reflects items that are part of standard New England cuisine and are well executed, especially the lamb roast and the chowder which could stand alone!

My extended family has been spending a week together every summer for the past 24 years. In 2005 we started spending a week at TLV and love it. Our group includes teenagers, college kids, and their middle-aged parents as well as 80 year old parents/grandparents/aunts/uncles. We are a relatively easy going bunch who go back every year because TLV is in a lovely spot on Little Lake Sunapee, the owners are friendly and accommodating, and the price is most definitely right. We especially like not having to cook, shop clean, or shell out for a round of golf or use of a kayak or canoe. The only decision I have to make at TLV is which fun thing to do that day. There have been TLV weeks when all I did was read, hike, run, take naps, play cards, do a jigsaw puzzle and canoe. It was heaven.

Just returned from spending another wonderful 2 weeks at Twin Lake Village (TLV). Its a place where families return year after year to reconnect with old friends, including the Kidder Family which has run TLV for over 100 years, as well as start new friendships with first time guests. While TLV isn't for everyone--no flat screen TVs in your room nor is there a heated indoor swimming pool or fitness center. But, if swimming in a crystal clear lake, paddling a kayak, going for a sailboat ride, playing golf on a challenging nine hole par 3 golf course, playing tennis, having a picnic dinner on a mountain watching the sunset, or simply sitting in a rocking chair on the porch reading a book or talking to other guests, then TLV may very well be the right choice for your next vacation. And, I've always found the food to be very good--especially those pancakes at breakfast--and deserts at lunch and dinner are exceptional.

Twin Lakes is one of thoses places that you can come to...and totally relax. Shut off the cell phone, sit on the front porch with a good book...that you will never read because there is always someone there to talk to. It is home in so many ways. Play golf, go swimming, kayaking, fishing.....get all dressed up...(only if you want to) and go to the small summer theatre in town....or visit the Ice House...great Model T's !!!! My favorite thing to do is drive around the area and explore.....and shop! I go back to Twin Lakes every year.....in 20 years it will still be the same.....

We have been coming to TLV for almost 20 years. This is the perfect place for any kind of group get together where you want to have fun, have things to do for all ages, but you don't want anyone to get stuck doing the cooking and cleaning. However, keep in mind that you don't just come here for one night and leave. (Unless you stay in the Lodge.) Pick a week, find a group of friends or family to fill a house and enjoy. You will be competing with the other regulars who come the same week every year (like us!) But there are openings so do try to come! The Lodge also can take families and a group of rooms or you can stay as a single or double, like a hotel. TLV has it all if you like Par 3 type of golf, tennis, lake swimming, boating, Bingo night, hiking, a waterfall and a preppy affordable town nearby (only a mile or so) if you need groceries or boutiquey type of shopping. Maybe we'll see you at TLV sometime!

This is the 6th year our family of 6 has enjoyed Twin Lake Villas. My son and daughter - in-law and 3 grandchildren (now 10-1/2, 8-1/2 and 6-3/4) and me...happy Grammy. We have a wonderful cottage( part of the property and near the hotel ) that is super clean and maid service is daily.Eating in the dining room of the hotel for breakfast, lunch and dinner gives my daughter in law a 'break' from doing the usual daily cooking at home. The food is not gourmet, but mostly fine...and the desserts are super. Many guests know each other from years past and although there is no drinking in the dining room, folks often invite others to have a cocktail in their respective cottages before dinner every night. This is a family place and children and parents all 'hang out' together with children's ages varying from 3 to young adults. We all love the golf, the tennis, the shuffleboard, kayaking or canoeing and swimming in the lake. And all is included in the American Plan lodging fee for the week. It is terrific NOT to have TV in the cottage. Our family played board games some nights...and on the special bingo night and children's dance night we laughed for hours. The Tuesday afternoon climb to the top of Mr. Kearsage is tackled by many...and everyone revels in the picnic the Kidders provide at the picnic/play area near the top of the mountain. This is the most cost effective, fabulous vacation there is...and I say that from the perspective of having traveled nationally and internationally during my past vacations. It is simple, old fashioned low key FUN to be here. Although the youth of today have their I -pods and I-pads, there is so much to do , "screen-time" is effectively limited without undue parental hassle. The Kidder family does everything possible to ensure guests are happy...and we'll be going back year after year!

My Family and I have been traveling up to TLV for five years and we all look forward to this special summer holiday spot. We represent several generations in our family group, all of whom enjoy TLV. My granddaughter loves to attend the play house every morning, a free service for young children so their parents enjoy the various activities such as the lovely golf course, three Har Tru tennis courts and all the various water sports. The same family's tend to book the same week year after year. As a mother and grandmother to our gang I love the liberation from any food preparation and house cleaning. I adore the waitstaff that tends to us so well all week and the house keeper that cleans our cocktail glasses and tea cups and makes our beds each morning while we enjoy another beautiful New Hampshire day. TLV is a real jewel.

My extended family just celebrated our 8th summer at TLV and we all look forward to many more years together. We have created a special bond with returning families and have watched each others' children grow up. We love the casual and constant atmosphere at TLV. In a fast paced changing world it is comforting to rely upon the consistencies the Kidder family provides....from the array of food, the rocking chairs on the porch, the tennis tournament to the afternoon group on the dock. We wouldn't change a thing!!

Twin Lake Villa is a rare find for those seeking a unique vacation experience; it is truly a magical location in charming New England. Generations of the Kidder Family have lovingly maintained the Villa, it's surrounding cottages and it's much used facilities: a vibrant waterfront on Little Lake Sunapee, a FUN nine hole golf course (for young and old alike), three clay tennis courts, shuffleboard courts and acres of green lawn where children play happily. If you are looking for a destination for rest, relaxation, and abundant time to connect with your family, not your PC devices, this is THE spot. The returning guests are well connected in the most important ways...with their families and friends!

Is like stepping back in time. There is the main hotel and 18 houses that can each be rented. We were a group of 14 friends and was a great place to go and unwind and relax. There are all sorts of activities available: shuffleboard, tennis. There is a beach and a boathouse. They supply kayaks and beach chairs and beach towels. There are trails and we hiked for a few miles was absolutely beautiful. Can also sit on the large and very long veranda on the rocking chairs and contemplate the universe. There is no alcohol in the dining room so we had brought wines and appetizers and we had a pre-dinner gathering on the verranda. The food is all well cooked but quite basic. However do not be fooled, the bread is home made, the syrup is local maple syrup and the service was all from eager kids who seemed to be in the summer after graduating high school. This is not fancy. Our room in the hotel was adequate. It was quite hot but the overhead fan worked well and we had been advised and brought a floor fan as well. Next time we will know to take a kettle as coffee or tea is not available outside of mealtimes.

My family has been going for over 42 years. It is a great family experience. All of the staff are very kind. In addition, the food is great. You do not have to worry about your kids if they are over 7. It is very safe and every guest is super considerate and sweet. There are also a bunch of other kids to play with. I would totally recommend it to anyone who is looking for some amazing family fun. It is great to be apart of the TLV family. Love they place and the experience!

A great place to start a vacation tradition! We come every year and it is like a step back in time. No TV, No Telephone (we leave or cell phone shut off) and you relax, read a book, take a swim, play a round of golf, play a game of tennis and an after dinner game of shuffleboard might be in order. You get 3 meals a day like your grandma's home cooking. So if you are looking for an escape for the rigggors of today's pace, then spend a week at TLV!

My family has been coming here now for 59 years and my family are friends with the Kidder family. Let me say it has never over the 59 years been a bad year. The people make the difference, but the 9 hole golf course is a great course and the bakery is the best part of there meals. The picnic is my personal favorite. In closing TLV is a great place for any family or group of friends to start a long tradition.

Twin Lakes Village combines the very best of a family environment in a gorgeous setting for a terrific value. The Hotel and rustic cottages look out over Little Lake Sunapee and the challenging 9 hole par three golf course. The three tennis courts are terrific. TLV has its own boathouse and private beach at the lake with kayaking and sunfish sailing. The staff is friendly and the family style meals are wonderful. The New London/Lake Sunapee area is a prime resort spot with other activities available, such as golf, shopping and sight seeing, outside of TLV. It is an all-inclusive experience that is a throw back to a time when families spent time together and left their doors unlocked. TLV is a gift worth experiencing.

Twin Lake Village aka TLV is the perfect venue! We were looking for a location that allowed us to have friends and family gather for a weekend of celebrations, as our families live in different areas of the US. Once we stepped on the property that allowed all of our guests to stay and enjoy the weekend with golf, swimming and exploring the local area, we knew it was the location for us. With many people flying, it was easy to get to from Boston Logan or Manchester airport, but still felt remote. Being a family owned and managed resort the Jacques immediately made us feel welcome and were so helpful throughout the planning process. Their experience hosting weddings on location lead to a stress free weekend, all while making it feel so special and personal. From the welcome dinner to the Sunday morning breakfast, the food was outstanding! The houses and hotel were perfect location for our guests to stay, with it feeling rustic, but with all of the modern amenities to fully relax and enjoy! We still have family and friends telling us how special our wedding weekend was and that is absolutely because Twin Lake Village is such a special venue!

They went above and beyond to accommodate our needs and worked with us to make our vision a reality. The TLV venue allowed us to make our wedding much more than just a day - it was a fun-filled weekend for everyone. TLV made the wedding logistics so simple for our guests - it was easy to book and everything is accessible onsite. This venue struck the perfect balance between relaxed and intimate. Twin Lake Village was the perfect venue for our daughter’s wedding in August 2025. We highly recommend it. The location is spectacularly beautiful, the food is scrumptious, and the hospitality is warm and genuine beyond words. First, the verdant location overlooking Little Lake Sunapee with a mountain vista beyond is a spectacular spot for an outdoor wedding. The grounds are picturesque with lovely spots for wedding photography. And there is plenty to do for a wedding weekend – golf course, tennis courts, hiking trails, canoes at the boathouse, as well as a beach for swimming, sunbathing and a night-time bonfire! Second, the food is excellent. From the welcome BBQ to the reception dinner to the goodbye breakfast, Chef Tanner serves up delicious food. You don’t need to worry about catering! We really enjoy and appreciate good food, and TLV delivered. Chef Tanner and his team know what they are doing! Third, the hospitality is incredibly warm, genuine and attentive. TLV has been under a single family’s stewardship for over a hundred years, and there’s a reason they are succeeding – they are great at providing hospitality, and they enjoy doing it. The family owners are right there on-site making sure that everything is going perfectly. Catie and Tanner are first rate. The genuine warmth and friendliness of their hospitality is incredible. It brings a smile to my face simply remembering the weekend and all the helpfulness from Catie, Tanner, and the entire TLV Team. They have the experience to help guide you in crafting a wonderful wedding weekend experience. In addition, they were great in helping recommend vendors with experience at the venue, such as the incomparable Jordon from @ afamilyaffairmaine, the fabulously dynamic dance band @eastcoastsoul, the beautiful florist @allioopsflowers, and the artful and professional photographer @toddstoilov. The entire experience was magical. We highly recommend Twin Lake Village. If we had another child, we’d definitely want the wedding at TLV.

We got married at TLV in 2022. My family has vacationed at TLV every year for over 100 years, so my fiance and I knew when we got engaged that it would be the perfect venue for our wedding. We loved using a venue that was meaningful to us, family owned, and all inclusive for our guests. Everything was beyond our expectations! Catie and Laurie were so helpful and responsive throughout the whole process. They provided us with a list of other local vendors (flowers, music, event planners, tent/table rental) they've worked with at different price points, and we ended up using a lot of them. Ken and Tanner collaborated with us regarding the menu. They had great ideas and were also very willing to collaborate with us and our vision. Our wedding weekend included a welcome BBQ, bonfire on the beach, and breakfast the morning after. Their team handled our guest reservations, all the food, and serving for the entire weekend. Our guests loved staying in the cabins, socializing on the porch, and enjoying the amenities, such as the golf course and the lake! This is truly such a special place, and my fiance and I love re-living our wedding every summer when we go back. Cannot recommend this place enough.

We hosted my daughter's wedding in June 2024 and it was a perfect weekend in all respects. The Kidder family , who have been in the hospitality business for over 100 years were , were delightful to work with from beginning to end. No ask was ever too big and they were always available to talk whenever a question popped up . One of the big advantages of the venue is that there are accommodations for 190 guests in the hotel or cottages and a delicious breakfast is included. No need to rent buses or worry about driving late at night. Typically the weekend will kick off the first night with a yummy barbecue and later a bonfire followed the next night with the wedding. There are lots of activities: golf, tennis, hiking, boating on the lake and just rocking on your porch which will keep your guests busy. We had a tennis and golf tournament that provided a good way for everyone to get to know each other. The food is out of this world at all meals. Chef Tanner has lots of specialties but they are amenable to whatever you may request. Be sure to order the Call Roger appetizer for the cocktail hour. The price was very reasonable and you can work to ensure it will fit into whatever your budget may be. Also, your guests will appreciate the lodging costs to stay on property. It is probably 1/3 of the cost of a regular hotel. I guarantee you will be over the moon if you choose to have your wedding at this stunning property.

Have you ever been to a wedding and after all the ceremonies/activities are over you say "Can we do that again?" Honestly from start to finish, everything was flawless. Twin Lake Village (TLV) went above and beyond to make our daughters wedding day truly unforgettable. From our initial contact with TLV, the Jacques family was responsive, reliable, and incredibly organized. Every question we had was answered quickly, and their communication gave us total peace of mind. The attention to detail was remarkable, and everything exceeded our expectations. You can tell they genuinely care about their weddings and take immense pride in their work and their villa. They were flexible, understanding, and always willing to accommodate our needs and changes along the way. And the venue... wow... has everything you want for a quintessential New England wedding!

TLV made our wedding dreams happen! We've been vacationing at TLV for many years, but seeming them transform the beautiful grounds into a wedding venue was better than we could have ever imagined. The best part was all out of guests stayed on site, creating a true familial feel.

Twin Lake Village is the most incredible wedding venue. It's like real-life Dirty Dancing, only better. Our wedding weekend was so fun, it was common to hear any guest mentioning that this was the best wedding they've ever been to. And it was! It was the perfect mixture of fun, family and love. We started our weekend off on Friday with a cookout and bonfire on the lakeside beach. We entertained our guests on Saturday with a golf scramble, tennis courts and lake activities (canoeing, hanging on the dock, floating around). The wedding was so smooth - from food to band to all things in between. Then on Sunday, we wished our friends farewell over a goodbye breakfast. It truly was the most special, thoughtful and fun experience for everyone - even me, the bride! I could not recommend this venue enough. It's literally the best! Catie, Tanner and the whole Kidder gang are wonderful to work with because they want your wedding to be the best wedding ever. They are an incredible family running an amazing family business!

I would get married at TLV a million times if I could. To say everything was perfect and went off without a hitch would be an understatement. The staff at TLV is so kind and accommodating, and any bride would be LUCKY to have them on their team. The whole weekend was a dream and it was so special to be able to spend so much time with all of my guests. I cannot overstate how special it is to have everyone you love staying on site so that you can spend as much time with them as possible. The rehearsal dinner and beach bonfire was one of the most fun nights of my life, and I wouldn’t change a single thing about my wedding day, it was simply beautiful. The TLV staff took care of everything and the whole weekend was stress free. To this day I still have friends and family tell me that my wedding was the best wedding they’ve ever been to, and that is all thanks to TLV. I cannot recommend them highly enough.

My family stays in a cottage every year in July, and we have been coming for 4 generations. It seems like every year gets better and better! Although the food is very good, your choices are limited. But like I said the food is very good. TLV has a wide range of activities such as 2 golf tournaments a week. They have a Tennis tournament, and the boat house has a lot of options too. The best part is the Lake. Once you step foot on the beach, you can't help but spend the day there! The water is never too cold and never too hot, it's always perfect! You will love your vacation, if you choose to go to TLV!!! Money definitely well spent!!!

Twin Lake Village (TLV) is family run resort that will take you back to an earlier day, when companionship and relaxing were the norms of having some quality family time. The resort has a challenging 9 hole golf course, with water coming into play on 7 of the nine holes, a sandy lake front beach, ideal for small children, a dock, boathouse and just the right size of comfort and still feeling a little rural. We have visited TLV for a few years (51 to be exact) and welcome the simple relaxing routine.
